The Prisoner - British cult classic and Patrick McGoohan vehicle
Danger UXB - another British series
Home Improvement - I love the beginning: you can't tell where the beat is, and the jazz flute is awesome
Wild Wild West
The A-Team
Agronsky and Company - PBS news discussion show. Theme music was "Procession of the Nobles" from Rimsky-Korsakoff's opera Mlada.
Fantasy Island
and,
The Boston Pops TV show back when Arthur Fiedler was conductor. At one time, their them music was a medley of (mostly) classical hit tunes. I can still remember them:
(i) a fanfare that may or may not have been based on the opening of Gershwin's Porgy and Bess;
(ii) the overture to Rossini's William Tell;
(iii) Beethoven's Ode to Joy melody;
(iv) Bach's Little Fugue in c minor;
(v) the overture to Johann Strauss II's Die Fliedermaus;
(vi) Scott Joplin's The Entertainer;
(vii) john Phillip Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever;
(viii) The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night;
(ix) the fanfare of (i)
