Yeah, let's remove John Boehner as speaker of the House, and replace him with Noam Chomsky.

NOAM CHOMSKY?!?!?!? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!! !! !! !

Yes. I'm NNT... heh.

Chomsky is a great deal more intelligent than Boehner, a great deal more sensitive to the need for human liberation in general, and a great deal more aware of the dangers and injustices produced by power systems in general.
In all seriousness, though, you and I both know that he would never accept the position.

Also, notice how I made a humorous comment, complete with a laughing smiley face, and you flipped out with caps lock and everything? Yeeaaaah.

Lets give Boehner a chance, no point blasting him during his first week in office. As i recall, the dems were all saying "give barry a chance to fix things"

Boehner has been in office and sucking at his job for a couple decades now. He is corrupt, a shill for corporate interests, a fraud, and doesn't give a damn about his constituents.

I am from Ohio's 8th Congressional District, and Boehner has acted against my direct financial interests in return for kickbacks from predatory lendors.

Suuuurreee he did....

Boehner is really an agent of the lizard people....

Get a clue, if this was honestly true, the mainstream media would have been all over this months ago, not that I don't expect this to resurface as the leftist media launches their usual charecter assassination campaign.

You're talking about Democracy Now, The Socialist Review and The Nation here, right?

Probably the mainstream media finds John Boehner to be too repulsive to report anything about. Even his sexual scandals.

I have no idea what Lisbeth Lyons would see in this guy. He smokes, drinks, and blubbers. How desperate can this woman be? Or, is he giving her checks from tobacco companies, too?

Talking about MSNBC, CBS, ABC, Politico, Huffington Post, CNN, NBC, Associated Press, Reuters, Daily Kos, NPR, moveon.org, factcheck.org, New York TImes, and probably a dozen others I have missed.

Sallie Mae funds Boehner's political campaigns. He enabled them to double the interest rates on student loans, and "reformed" student lending laws to favor lenders at the expense of students. There is also the minor incident of him passing out tobacco lobby bribes on the House floor in plain view.

Right, and only a few of those (Daily Kos, moveon.org, HuffPo) are even left-leaning, let alone "leftist."

I mean, Reuters? The freaking AP? Why are you trying to paint these stodgy, corporate media outlets as "leftist?" Leftism in America is a small movement, and is mostly ignored. The supposedly scary "socialist" president that the right goes to great pains to scream about holds positions approximately in line with mainstream European conservative parties. Even our larger "progressive" institutions are pretty centrist.

Orwell , Sally Mae funded campaigns for Democrats like Obama, Barney Frank, and Christopher Dodd. I'm sure they fund Republicans like Boehner too. Corporations fund both sides of the Republicratic Party.

Reuter's was the one caught in 2006 using doctored photos to accuse the Israelis of warcrimes.

Only if you agree to have a look at old copies of Ramparts. I assume that the level of bias is about the same.

In two years, the American people will have a chance to make themselves heard and fire the bum. Americans who care about the future of their country will not let a bunch of blind ideologues ruin this nation.

(I'm obviously channeling the style of right-wing pundits and using it against them.)

Hang on for a couple of years then. You will have your say at the polls.

And you know what else John Boehner did? He sought to block Ron Paul from becoming the Monetary Policy Subcommittee Chairman!
