I suppose using PC software to organize life is ultimately important for us. Personally, I use:

Microsoft Office One note
1- For writing down and storing ideas (which 95% never see the light of course:))))) )
2- For taking and storing notes about anything.

Microsoft Office Outlook
I use its Calendar and Tasks functions along with email management. This is most important software. I keep all my schedules, plans and even the smallest tasks in one place.

Mindjet Mindmanager
Mind mapping software, helps with planning and problem solving.

A little questionnaire I created.
To help me determine and understand people, situations and social events. Motivations, hidden contexts, people feelings, danger alerts. This might look strange but this little tool helped my busy mind to cope with one of its heaviest burdens. It is not complicated at all, I have no scientific basis that I have written this tool for,but I did write it from my experience (I am 36 years old)

For Money management, I use Wesabe which is an online service.

Mobile Software

I just use voice recorder and notes

What do you use?

Like the previous two posts, I use portable computers (Palm PDAs and a Windows Mobile smartphone.) They can synchronize with computer software including Microsoft Outlook. Having the organizational tools with me when I need it is essential. I use alarms, checklists of tasks, and other tools. Be sure to back up all the data using your larger computer and or flash memory cards.

Mostly anything not written by Microsoft, thanks.
But I don't have the type of lifestyle which requires much organizing so if anything, I rely on hand-written notes.

8 years later! its a good idea to users now that almost a decade passed to tell their software, since so much has changed.

i use Free Alarm Clock, to remind me that it passed 30 minutes since i swallowed pantropazole. I have this terrible habit of power on my computer, as soon i wake up, even before i wash my face. And i can get so distracted on it that i just forget that 30 minutes passed since i swallowed pantropazole.
Sometimes i use Pomodoro on my android phone, that makes me take a rest between every 15 minutes, with 3 minutes rest which i use to grab water, or talk with someone in my friends list.
Google Calendar on my android- with some sugestions what to do, like cleaning my glasses, cleaning my room, wash my head(that i hate to do), do physical exercises, eat more fruits, go to my psychiatric gets my remedies
Tasks on Android is also awesome, cause it makes lists- since i do much repetitive stuff, i check the items, and in the end of the day i uncheck, since i will need to do it again- also i need sugestions what to do in tasks- today, i only do tasks like reading manga, watching anime, do a eye exercise where i look to another people face in a video, to get used to eye contact, use for 15 minutes a app called brain training

I used to use Claris Organiser (Macintosh software) for my calendar, but for the last 5 years or so I've been using 'plan' (Linux software).

I print a calendar each month so I can write on it and view it easily. Anything that is for next month or further in the future will be added in the software to be printed out closer to the time.

I also have a personal diary which is on a computer. I made a custom database for this in FileMaker Pro 3 back in 2008 (yes, I know, version 3 was already very outdated by then). I've been using this ever since, although I do sometimes write entries on sheets of paper which get filed away instead.
