-Enjoy music
-Love animals

-Are either uninterested in the opposite sex, are gay, or are a hopeless romantic
-Doesn't grieve the loss of loved ones in the stereotypical manner (ie bawling over their dead body, counting death anniversaries)
-Interested in philosophy
-Believes in conspiracy theories
-Enjoys video/computer games
-Is not that interested in looking good

what other things do you commonly notice in aspies?

With me I don't just love music I obsess over certain bands/artists. I'm pretty narrow minded in what I listen to. I admit it. And I'll do bodily harm to anyone who says the slightest thing against the music I love.

I actually do mourn over a death ever since my dad died. I'm really sensitive around the topic of death now.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories but find them interesting.

I'll add a few more:

- Interested in science
- Good at art
- Either right wing or left wing
- Either Christian or atheist but extremely so. Some NT's can not believe in God but don't hold it against others.
- Have at least one thing that are really really good at.

- Seem to be highly devoted to specific celebrities, to a more extreme degree than an NT would be, and for different reasons (NTs like celebrities because they're hot, popular or represent certain beliefs/ideals, whereas when an aspie obsesses over a celebrity, it's usually because said celebrity was somehow involved with one of their special interests)
- Tend to look, behave and feel much younger than than their biological age
- Prone to taking things too seriously/personally, especially their special interests
- Can't or don't want to sleep
- Prone to misunderstanding things, especially over the Internet

With me it's not so much because of a special interest or because I think they're hot. The ones that I think are hot I rarely get into. But certain celebrities, actors mostly, I mirror them to help with social skills and when I see them not in their movies or shows my eyes light up and I feel comforted by their familiar face. Also, I like to write their characters into my own stories.

There's a celebrity that I'm very devoted to, because him and I are so much alike. I don't want anybody shooting me down for saying this, either. I come here to be myself and express my opinions. That person is Mick Avory.

your list could describe many people in the world that are not autistic.
i understand that you may not be saying that your list is peculiar to autistic people, and therefore i understand that your list has nothing to do with AS symptomatology.

if that is all you can see that outlines the differences between AS people and non AS people then you are wrong and

5-Doesn't grieve the loss of loved ones in the stereotypical manner (ie bawling over their dead body, counting death anniversaries) This is me.
6-Interested in philosophy Yes.
7-Believes in conspiracy theories Some; not all.
8-Enjoys video/computer games NO. Boring waste of valuable time to me.
9-Is not that interested in looking good Not me. Need to show pride in self and appearance. Cleanliness & good physique a must!

Probably the most classic thing I can add to the Aspie trait list, is the special interest obsession. I collect old air raid sirens, TV sets from the 1940s & 50s, and am fairly obsessed with the hobby. Of course there are other Aspie things about me as well.

-Enjoy music (For both inspiration, emotion, and the feeling of the bass from certain songs.)
-Love animals (I will try to lead the insects outside if I can help it.)
-Like fantasy, anime, and sci-fi (My life revolves around these things. Maybe not necessarily anime though.)
-Are either uninterested in the opposite sex, are gay, or are a hopeless romantic (Strangely, I am both uninterested and a hopeless romantic. Or I would like to be in a relationship but it's not my biggest priority.)
-Doesn't grieve the loss of loved ones in the stereotypical manner (Only cried twice at this one death overall.)
-Interested in philosophy (Yes. Many are.)
-Believes in conspiracy theories (No. I don't like to think about these things or anything that scares me.)
-Enjoys video/computer games (Yes.)
-Is not that interested in looking good (Quite the opposite. I spend hours combined every day fixing up my hair and clothes.)

Additional:
-Addicted to certain feelings or sensations (Like Beckham likes the feeling of tattoos...lolz...I am addicted to the feeling of oil painting, water, light pressure, passing my fingers over a small flame, certain book pages, etc)
-Chewing (chewing on fingers, fingernails, clothes, or pencils anyone?)

since even hell itself seems to get better than this lousy plane of existence, I see no reason to. I cherish the happy memories of the deceased.

define looking good... you mean looking good towards others or feeling comfortable with your own looks? Those two can be vastly different

I can answer yes to most of these... except I'm not really that interested in conspiracy theories. In response to some other responses:

-Atheist, but not crazily so. I respect people who are religious, but I don't understand the mentality. Blind faith is something I just don't "get". I question everything.
-Interested in science
-Good at art (oar at least I'd like to think I am)
-Left wing
-Can't or don't want to sleep
-Chewing (anybody else like sunflower seeds? o_o )

Some others I've seen:

-Often dyslexic or having a fear of numbers.
-Naive
-Super trusting or not trusting at all

I fall under a lot of these, but I suppose quite a bit of people would.

-Are either uninterested in the opposite sex, are gay, or are a hopeless romantic - Not really sure.
-Doesn't grieve the loss of loved ones in the stereotypical manner (ie bawling over their dead body, counting death anniversaries) - At times this is quite prominent to me.
-Interested in philosophy - Very much so.
-Believes in conspiracy theories - Ditto.
-Enjoys video/computer games - I enjoy actually making video games and mapping for computer games over playing them.
-Is not that interested in looking good - Not very much. But when I present arguments for or against ideas I try somewhat to make them look good and have cleverness.

-Interested in science - Yes, especially pharmacology, and pharmaceutical chemistry.
-Good at art (oar at least I'd like to think I am) - Very good at writing if that is considered an art, have terrible penmanship albeit.
-Left wing - Yes, quite I would say. I believe in anarchism, anarcho-communism in particular.
-Can't or don't want to sleep - I often keep myself up with my obsessions.
-Chewing (anybody else like sunflower seeds? o_o ) - I love to. Whenever I have bags they are gone within a few hours of repeated chewing.

Some others I've seen:

-Often dyslexic or having a fear of numbers. - Not really. I do however have a fear of being spontaneously asked mathematical or numerical based questions.
-Naive - No not so much.
-Super trusting or not trusting at all - I am generally less trusting.

I feel like you're describing me :)

-unconventional beliefs (I notice more atheistic and politically radical aspies here then in the general population)
