I'll be getting my covid shot sometime soon. Which is good except I'm not very fond of needles. Not at all...

The knowledge that I have a Pokemon card collection (first generation) that could be worth money. I got most of these cards in sixth and seventh grade. Although not all of my cards have too much value, quite a few are valuable enough to sell for a lot (with probably the most valuable being a first edition holographic Machamp card). My mom suggested getting them appraised at a shop in Berea, and we will contact them within the next few days.

Wasn't that in the starter deck?

Not sure what you meant, as I only collected cards and not played the TCG too often, but it was in the basic set. There were 5 sets for Gen 1 Pokemon: basic, jungle, fossil, Team Rocket, and gym leaders.

I did look up how much that card would go for, and it went at one grand. As disappointing as it was, I still have a few promos that I could offer, or just hang on to the card until it becomes more valuable.

Stormy season isn't very late.

But wet season is early. Earlier. :x Doesn't change the fact it's not cold enough to stop using the AC.

Political Systems Explained

• Anarchy: Gimme that damn fish!

• Capitalism: Teach a man to fish; but whatever he catches does not belong to him. Instead, his catch belongs to the person paying him to fish; and, if he is lucky, he might get paid enough to buy a fish for himself.

• Communism: Give a man a fish, and then tell him that it is not his to eat until he has met his quota for grain production by the end of this quarter.

• Marxism: Catch a man a fish, and you can sell it to him. Teach a man to fish and you ruin a wonderful business opportunity. (Yes, Karl Marx actually said this.)

• Matriarchy: Teach a man to fish, and you can get rid of him for an entire weekend.

• Oligarchy: Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime. Sell him a fishing license, and you can regulate the location, time, and size of his catch, and whether he gets to eat it or sell it.

• Patriarchy: Teach a man to fish, and he will teach others how to fish as if he had invented fishing.

• Socialism: Teach a man to fish, and then appropriate his catch to feed the bourgeoisie.

• Unionism: Give a man a fish, and you will feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, and you will be out of a job.

This is what I'd referring to:

https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki ... r_Set_(TCG)

It was in that set. I only played the TCG a bit but my brother started with that. I started with Zap!

Ah, I see. I found some additional info on that online:

As the only Stage 2 Pokémon in the set, the additional Machamp card is included to booster the deck. The Machamp card is exclusive to the 2-Player Starter Set, and cannot be found in Base Set booster packs.

That's really interesting to know.

I want to practice doing push-ups, but my arm is sore from the COVID vaccine. I also wonder if it'd somehow injure me to do push-ups right now.
