I'm watching My 600-lb Life and this woman just ate two family-sized fast food meals within the first few scenes, which I presume were eaten close together. That was also after she ate a big breakfast her caretaker made for her.
I'm not judging her since I know she has an addiction, I'm just interested in how she affords that and how she eats that without getting ill. I know bulimics can actually tear their stomachs binging that much, so I don't get how these people are just fine afterwards.
In terms of being physically able, I would guess it was something she worked her way up to, so her body had time to adjust. Not the same as suddenly binging when one’s body is accustomed to smaller amounts of food. Bodies can be amazingly adaptable to at least somewhat gradual changes of many kinds, the end results can seem unbelievable.
