My friend and I are trying to figure out if this is an AS trait or OCD/OCPD.

When watching TV, do you need to put the volume on a certain number? For me, I need it to end in 0 or 5. I also do this with iPod playlists- need the number of songs to end in 0 or 5.

When I go to a shop, even if I only am meant to be buying 1 item, I make myself get 2 or more. For some reason I can't just go buy 1 thing and take it up to the counter.

There is a soymilk I like as well. Every time I get it, I purchase 7 of them which last me 1 month. I buy 7 pieces of fruit for each week too.

So, does anyone do stuff like this involving numbers?

The only number problem for me is when my blog/tweets reached any number which ends with two or more digits which are "9", I quickly make another post.

I like even numbers. I turn the volume to an even number, make sure I've made an even number of posts, and make lists with an even number of items (which sometimes means adding silly things to the lists).

I don't do things in 3's or multiples of 3's. They give me the creeps.

It's a common OCD trait.

Oh really? I don't have OCD, but I almost certainly have OCPD.

When I get gasoline for my car, I will always make sure it ends in "0" or a "5."

Whenever I leave a tip at a restaurant or order a pizza, I always round it off to the nearest dollar.

When transferring money between bank accounts, I make sure the balance ends up rounded to the nearest dollar.

I'm sure if I thoroughly analyzed everything I do involving numbers, I would observe this pattern in them.
