Ever since I was little, I have always had a problem controlling "fits", when it comes to losing small items and such. I screech in a high voice, which one of my friends has dubbed my "muppet voice", and I panic greatly. I flail, tense, and stand on my tiptoes. Even at age 21, it can be difficult to control this. Yet, at the same time, I seem to have a greater ability to cope with bigger disappointments, even so big as the death of a family member, than most Neurotypicals. Is this typical of Asperger's?
