Ever since I was little, I have always had a problem controlling "fits", when it comes to losing small items and such. I screech in a high voice, which one of my friends has dubbed my "muppet voice", and I panic greatly. I flail, tense, and stand on my tiptoes. Even at age 21, it can be difficult to control this. Yet, at the same time, I seem to have a greater ability to cope with bigger disappointments, even so big as the death of a family member, than most Neurotypicals. Is this typical of Asperger's?

I do this to and get quite upset. Don't know if this is typical Aspergers as I haven't been digagnosed but you are no the only one.

Hey - I'm not diagnosed and don't know if it's typical of Asperger's or not.

But I often meltdown at seemingly little problems like misplacing my keys, for example and can seem to cope well with bigger problems.

I am beginning to recognise now, however, that the meltdowns over little things are often"delayed" reactions to something bigger that I appeared to cope well with at the time...

It's only taken me 37 years to figure this link out!
