personally, I like the smell of mothballs, gasoline, a wood fire, fresh asphalt, skunks, and cow manure.

The cow manure requires explanation: Ever take a drive out in the country on a warm day and had the windows down and smell cows nearby? Yeah, that. Just smells like a peaceful, idyllic life.

:) for me its wood-smoke from chimmneys, a fire, whatever also really clear clean air with a tang of frost to it, pine, leather :), vanilla.

The first 3 are directly derived from my memories of going on holiday to Aviemore ( Scottish Highlands) for years.

^^ Yaye good evening MasterJedi,

I believe that I enjoy very many beautiful smells and believe that the smells who you lotr_addict are very beautiful also.

^^ I believe that I enjoy very much the smell of Nell and Plato and my Grandfather's house and lovely smells who bless me when I visit the sea and toasted bread and lentil soup and paper and leaves and flowers and I am very sorry as I believe that I may not remember very many more smells that I enjoy. I apologise for being horrible.

Lavender, sweet pea, lilac, sandalwood, clean laundry, my cat's fur, gasoline, the outdoors after it rains and that new book smell.

I like the smell of french vanilla and hazelnut coffee. I also like various cologne smells, and the smell of laundry.

Coffee
Pipe smoke
Fresh cut grass

There are nice smells like fresh fruits, mint or chlorine, but my hypersensitive smell doesn't tolerate anything for longer time. There are perfumes I like, but I can't use any of them, because of their smell. My windows are always open to reduce the smell of anything. If somebody comes, I must air the room after they go away. People stink!

Back in the early 60s, Beatrix Potter books where quite small, maybe 5 inches by 3.5, they had the finest quality paper and ink Ive ever seen in a book, and the smell of the pages when you opened the cover was exquisite.
If I knew they where printed the same today, I would buy a set from Amazon, just to smell them again.
