I thought all of the voice-acting in Rango was top-notch and I hope one of the actors/actresses gets an award for it at next year's ceremonies. :)

After playing as such a wimp and screaming his vocal cords out on more than one occasion, sure.

What about Billy West? Or Tony Jay? Simon Templeman or Michael Bell?

I seriously think that the best animation Oscar won by Sen-to Chihiro no kamikakushi (Spirited Away) should have happened two years earlier with the original release of the Japanese language version of that movie, and therefore given acknowledgement to the voice talent of the Japanese actors involved.

Billy West would win on Zap Brannigan alone, forget all of his other work. As for Tony Jay, as awesome an actor as he was, I don't know if you can accept an award of this prestige post-humously for almost a decade. But if so, then yes.

But really, we're ignoring Frank Welker. Seriously. Slimer, Megatron, Santa's Little Helper, Freddie from Scooby-Doo... the man has been in almost everything. Then, now, probably the next decade or so. If any voice actor is going to win the day, it should be Frank Welker.

What about Seth MacFarlane? Or Sir Patrick? Or what about people who actually ARE voice actors by trade, like Vic Mignogna or Trevor Devall or Crispin Freeman? I mean, all of these people are pure, liquid awesome. No further description needed.
