It means no timescale was agreed for said fix and it will have to be hanging off before I get my butt in gear (lazy man humour)

I offer to fix things for people that I can fix, simple stuff such as figuring out what is causing a computer to go silent [audio] or why a car radio is acting funny. any more complicated than that, and i'll be the one begging somebody else for help.

The easiest way to fix something is to keep it fixed in its non-working state. I guess this state can also be conceived of as gelded.

Most everything can be fixed with duct tape.

Duct tape is quite handy, and I have found that using a matching colour of tape does wonders for the professional look, but it does less than 1% of my repairs. BTW, it began as surgical tape, and had a waterproof layer added for general repairs, but it is one of the worst tapes for duct repair in a hot-air system.

Personally, while I don't believe in the acting out your manliness because it can often mistranslate to being a douche, if there was one I'd pick, I guess it's being able to appreciate and enjoy a good scotch since it isn't something most females would consider as a remotely interesting past time.

Erm ... I express my manliness by drinking beer. Lots of it. :D

I am baffled by "expressions of manliness." I know I'm a man, and if someone is confused, that's a general problem of theirs, not a specific problem of mine. Maybe it's the advertisers creating the compulsion. It certainly sells a lot of steel and gasoline to the fashion conscious.

once self respect has been earned from one’s worst critic, themselves, insecurity is lost, and it becomes too difficult to judge, get mad or feel hate. from there, it truly is difficult to regulate testosterone without stretching and strength training almost nonstop. you know you’re a man, be glad... a lot aren’t anywhere near as smart or don’t have enough an attention span for school, and were born for manual labor or combat, which doesn’t even pay rent in this generation, even for those that just want a simple life of bare necessities. it takes cultivating modesty to know you aren’t needed for generations to come, without thinking outside the box, when you’re one of them... it’s why there’s so much crime here, many mistake terror for respect and demand.

there aren’t many chances of getting off disability aside from entering a ring, and no heart is had for messing up boys’ faces... it isn’t particularly confucian. have been thinking to take up muay thai since there’s a gym within reach. probably wouldn’t be too difficult to become an instructor.

Not to really care for sounding like a feminist, but it does seem odd that there's only a Men's Discussion sticky thread and not a Women's one here too.

Maybe it's cuz the women have their own section, & there's an LGBT one but there is NO men's section
