Norming to the standard paradigm of the support group: The endless exchange of anecdote with no other goal save the balm of consensual validation. Shouldn't the pointlessness of all such empty social grooming be blatant and manifest to Aspie candor?

You posted: "Aspies don't need this interaction" I must have missed the word 'this.' Sorry! (For clearer writing, I generally try to avoid using indefinite pronouns, and repeat the definite pronouns instead.) I've just been somewhat alarmed by how many on this forum have actually declared simply giving up and renounced all things worldly. Besides, can we never go beyond the quest for mere validation? For an Aspie community, there certainly seems to be a great deal of the validating interaction in question taking place.

Is that a surprise to you?
