Definitely Iris. (Though I prefer the New Found Glory cover... :D) And Boulevard Of Broken Dreams even more so... I can relate to that song in so many ways. And Numb too, while I'm on that topic, but I don't think that's particularly 'Aspie'.

My own sort of positive one is Hey Hey by Superchick. It's pretty much a "people might think I'm weird and maybe I'm crazy but as long as I'm myself they don't matter" type of song. So hey hey, this song is for us. So put your hands in the air, if you're crazy like us, hey hey. Otherwise, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams (it is Green Day) is a really good one. (I have no idea how much I've played that song. Repeatedly.) Free by Switchfoot makes me think of Asperger's, sort of, particularly with the line inside this shell there's a prison cell, 'cause that's always how it's felt for me. Never Surrender by Skillet always hit a chord for me... do you know what it's like when you're not who you wanna be? Do you know what it's like to be your own worst enemy? Who sees the things in me I can't hide? Do you know what it's like to wanna surrender? Sober by Pink too, generally around the line, I don't wanna be the girl that has to feel the silence. The quiet scares me 'cause it screams the truth. Going back to the Switchfoot, Mess Of Me makes me think Asperger's too... We lock our souls in cages. We hide inside our shells. It's hard to free the ones you love, when you can't forgive yourself and later, There ain't no drug. No drug to make me well... It's not enough. The sickness is myself. STILL with the Switchfoot, Meant To Live is really Aspie for me. Fumbling his confidence and wondering why the world has passed him by. Hoping that he's meant for more than arguments and failed attempts to fly.

...I'm gonna stop before we all drown in songs.

hehehe i was just listening to that short stack song, planet on the radio and i realised that some of the lyrics match this site and us perfectly. observe:
What planet are you from?
And are all of the lights on?
I don't know how to talk to you.
And where did you come from?
What planet are you on?
I can't believe the things you do.
I'm reaching out (I'm reaching out)
I'm reaching out (I'm reaching out) (Oh lord)
I'm reaching out to get to you.
I'm reaching out (I'm reaching out)
I'm reaching out (I'm reaching out)
I think I'm on the same planet as you,
I think i'm on the same planet as you -oo

its marginally relevant. also, Vapzii, thanks for informing me about the existence of skillet and switchfoot. their music is to my liking.

Not exactly about autism but this song makes me think of me and part of the lyrics is stuff I have heard from others about me.
I post the lyrics since I'm not allowed to link yet.

Kerli - Walking on Air
La La La La La La La

There's a little creepy house
In a little creepy place.
Little creepy town
In a little creepy world.
Little creepy girl with
Her little creepy face,
Saying funny things that you've never heard.
Do you know what it's all about?
Are you brave enough to figure out?
Know that you could set your world on fire,
If you're strong enough to leave your doubts.

Feel it, breathe it, believe it and
You'll be walking on air.
Go try, go fly so high and
You'll be walking on air.
You feel this, unless you kill it -
Go on and you're forgiven.
I knew, that I could feel that -
I feel like I'm walking on air.

She has a little creepy cat
And little creepy bat.
Little rocking chair
And an old blue hat.
That little creepy girl - oh she loves to sing,
She has a little gift - an amazing thing.
With her little funny eyes of hazel,
With her little funny old blue hat.
She will go and set the world on fire -
No one ever thougt she could do that.

Ref.

Flitter up
And hover down.
Be all around,
Be all around.

You know that I love you.
Go on.
Ref. x2

I'm walking on air.
I'm walking on air.

Yeah.

This is so funny and so awesome... this thread is full of songs that I loved and identified with even before I knew an Aspie was what I was.

What about this one?

I rather like "My Way" sung by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and about everyone else and their dog.

Gives the sense of struggle and succeeding, and of course doing it your way.

Oh, I forgot one good song: "Wrong" by depeche mode.

I like "My Way", too by the way.

I really like the song Sharada by Skye Sweetnam... it's about a girl who daydreams a lot and gets in trouble, but is destined for big things someday. Reminds me of myself quite a bit.
