I really wish this was around when I was in school. It would've made math easy and fun! Okay well maybe not easy, but definitely FUN!

It's like an RPG. You get experience points and you sort of level up. 8)

If only school was that fun.

You also get achievements!

Look at this sweet achievement I got in Addition 1. It's a Moon Badge!

I know. I know... Genius! :P

Where you up to?

I'm past the Arithmetic bit now. Currently in the Pre-algebra section. I finally feel like a math king!

I got going transonic in one of the difficult subtraction exercises.

But surprisingly I couldn't get one in Addition 1 no matter how fast I answered. Why is that?

Adding decimals
Multiplication 1.5
Division 1
Subtraction 3

I'm working on trying to get all the low hanging achievements. :)

Actually, no. I'm going to bed. Big meeting tomorrow. I better get some sleep.

They profiled this last night on the evening news.

Bill Gates was praising it....

I found his praise somewhat hypocritical.

Gates drove under anyone who might compete with him. Had Kahn done his deal back when Microsoft was new, I wonder how kindly Gates would have treated his product. Gates did dirty deals to make himself rich. Kahn is pretty much giving away his product.

The two aren't in the same league.

Was Gates ever indicted for a felony in his business practices. He is a tough business man. Business is not place for the tenderhearted or the soft-brained. If one cannot compete in business he should find another career.

Wasn't saying Gates was evil...just that his praise for this guy's selfless contribution to society is rather hypocritical since Gates' generosity came only after he ruthlessly obtained his wealth.

It's like rich people who exploit the system to be super wealthy later saying the rich can afford to pay a lot more in taxes....odd they didn't shout that opinion when they were laying the corpses of defeated foes to make their way up the ladder.

Gates' contribution to society comes only because of the short-sightedness of IBM (who chose open-architecture and consented to a license agreement arrangement for software) in marketing. Had the IBM PC not been super-easy to duplicate and mass-produce, "Windows" wouldn't be the dominant operating system in the world.

Kahn is doing what he's doing to benefit others without much thought for himself. Gates' acted with no such sense of altruism.

Bill Gates is a very rich man today... and do you want to know why? The answer is one word: versions.
Dave Barry

Gates is the ultimate programming machine. He believes everything can be defined, examined, reduced to essentials, and rearranged into a logical sequence that will achieve a particular goal.
Stewart Alsop

Microsoft isn't evil, they just make really crappy operating systems.
Linus Torvalds
