no, how can you criticize the films if you haven't seen them?

I am trying to be a good Batman fan.

you can't criticize a movie unless you see it. you can say it looks bad, but you can't say the movie itself is horrible unless you see it

Forever was better, because the love between batman and dick was more true. remember that scene where he is about to leave on his bike and alfred has cooked dinner and he is seduced. in the next film, the affair is going stale and dick wants to experiment with a woman (uma thurman) but the 1st batman film (forever) is more romantic.

It was better because
Darker more serious aspects to the storyline
Better acting
better batman
better soundtrack
less cheesy lines
better villians and characters
great riddler. i really liked two face as well in that film.
better cinematography

Just an all round better film to be honest

I still prefer Batman Forever more than Nolans and Burtons adaptions

i like batman begins more than burtons adaptions of batman though. The Dark Knight Rises will be more like batman begins than TDK so that can only be a very good thing :)

I thought two face in forever was like Joker in TDK. both with scars, looks, and similar monologues about chaos. dont see any oscar for TL jones though for that movie.

YES heath ledgers joker is like two face in batman forever. i made that point in another thread about batman. Tommy Lee Jones was the best actor i enjoyed watching in Forever.

The problem with Forever's Two Face is that it was basically just a rehash of Jack Nicholson's Joker from the first movie. He didn't really act like Two Face at all. There was never any conflict between the two halves, there was never any sense that part of him wants to do the right/good thing. Hell, there was even a scene at the end where he flips his coin over and over until he gets the result he wants. Two Face would never do that.

Dear Jamesy, here's what i think

Cheesy storyline
Val Kilmer is a wooden Batman
OTT soundtrack
Cheesy dialogue (Did we really need Nicole Kidman's skin tight vinyl and a whip line in a kiddie film?"
Crap villians
Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones RUINED the Riddler and Two Face.
Cinematography is too camp and neon-drenched.

In short, your talking b***ocks again. So pull your tongue out of Joel Schumacher's arse, please

i have a question for you, if you haven't seen them, how can you complain about them?

I have seen the trailers for both films, and they do not seem different to each other.

Well if i remember correctly, the trailer for B&R had flying hoverboards in it. forever was cartoony, but not that wacky.

this is a funny image i found claming to be from the new movie. i think this is the scene where batman is un-framed and gets his reputation back with the public.
