Fact it was 1am and reading a text that I realised today is my 48th, though of course I mentally eschewed from thinking about it during the week. I plan to watch the entire World Cup (cricket) final in Mumbai, I hope India win.

What I want to know is, if it's your birthday today as well, post here and tell us what you're doing and also, aren't birthdays sort of more meaningless as you age (generally), even if you have good friends and family, if you're nearing 50 don't we care less about the whole thing (?) - what's another year etc etc...

That is really special deadinhead means a lot, thank you!
Birthdays are also for sharing you have just proved that. Sure anyone can easily post up a picture or throw in a video link but what matters is when people take the time and effort to do it!
And India are making a good start in the cricket. It is the first time that two Asian countries have competed in a World Cup final and billions are watching right now across the globe.

Yes but rather that than be an April fool!
(Though I can be a fool sometimes of course).
I am told that I was delivered by FedEx at mid-day on the 2nd and so missed being an April fool by some 12 hours.

So legend would have it. Just noticed you are in Untied Kingdom too... I used to write Disunited Kingdom sometimes in that category.
