I have the tendency to be a little too handsome, and a never ending proficiency in being pompous unintentionally.

How can I make myself more attractive by being less attractive? My serious nature tends to scare off newcomers, and my childish joking side after the pompous part gets me in trouble with the girls who stick around a while. I don't seem to have a problem walking into an area and making girls smile - but the whole, speaking part... unless they are irritatingly strong willed they brush me off as unattainable.

Opinions?

Ok, but onto a better subject.

My personality seems to be at odds with my looks - girls want to approach but I look unapproachable. I'm just curious if you saw a serious looking attractive guy that made you turn around twice and made you somewhat nervous - what would the required response you'd perceive as appropriate be. A hi, a heeelloo? A hand shake, or to ignore you completely?

Girls attempt to talk to me and make me smile no matter where I go, I'd just like to be more friendly - or give off a friendlier feeling in a circumstantially relevant/appropriate way. Would it be appropriate if she said "I like your glasses" to respond "and I find your hair interesting/nice". How can I become attainable rather than a passer by?

that must be my problem too, I'm so unattainably hot that girls must believe they can't have me and therefor don't approach me. That must be the reason for why when I walk into a room every girl doesn't immediately drop everything and flock over to me and begin ripping their clothes off and throwing their phone numbers at me, it's because I'm to hot...
