I spent only 3 years in college, but then I spent 8 years in gradschool. The reason for this discrepancy is that i was far ahead in my courses but I didn't realize that in grad school it was about research rather than courses. So I continued to take courses while falling behind on my research. Thus, together with selecting a Ph.D. research topic that is over my head. Again, because I wrongly thought that courses are cure-all so I will be able to do anything and everything if only I take enough courses.

I was supposed to be in my second semester of law school by now.

I think I have maybe a year's worth of credits toward a bachelor's.

I spent about 12 years to get through University, I did not study or was enrolled all the time however, but in total it is 12 years.

I was enrolled for about 9 1/2 years during that time.

I'm on pace to take about 6-7 years to get a master's...

Ahh... the wages of a misspent youth.

I would have graduated by now, had I stayed on track. I was in my third year when I switched schools and major and basically started over. My plan right now is to have a bachelors by 2013. But I like to consider this a second Bachelors. I had completed most of the credits for the first major.

Im not doing much better

the worst part is that people talk to me and wonder why i am still in school, instead of doing some sort of genius type job, but sadly thad damned piece of paper seems to be hard to get for me.

I just dont do school well, it is boring and I end up sleeping all the time at home.

I might be, I'm taking a BS at the moment, it's possible I'll have to repeat 1st year, but if I fail this year I'll just spend all the time I spend learning studying for exams :? Then I'll be an A/B student
