So..Why are they rich?

I mean other then them being the decendents of the folks who conquered Britain and Ireland, but any other reason why their rich? did they invent something helpful or do some amazing service for the UK?

I couldnt care less about the royal wedding infact i think it was extremely stupid that nearly every tv station was covering it.
Seriously i mean sure its lovely they have found the person they want to spend there whole life with but why does the whole world have to know all about it! Why would we want to watch someone we dont even knows wedding? i find weddings boring enough even when i know the person.
