Google has partnered with WrongPlanet by letting us be part of a new beta Gmail Domain service. Here is what it looks like:

Looks awesome! I'm sure this will come in handy for lots of people. When are you going to start sending out accounts? (Don't bother sending me one, got too many addresses as it is).

hey great idea alex, for the longest time i have been thinking about it but never suggested it in boards (someone read my mind here)
(stupid question) is it free??
Yes, Google never charges for their Gmail service, and if I'm not mistaken, their TOS forbids Wrongplanet from charging for the service (don't quote me on that though). It is ad supported, just like their regular Gmail service.

Hey doordoctor. No, as far as I know, Alex is still responsible for assigning the actual email addresses out to people, since it is his domain name, he just can't charge for them. As for the toilet seat thing, it is for the SCO Group (not sure if you know what they are or not).

ok ty for the info trapped, never heard of sco company, is it some linux or graphics thing??
Naw, not really. They're a company who used to sell Linux products, and now they just sue other companies and don't actually do anything productive anymore (hence the avatar). They are the scourge of the tech industry.
