Living things :)

I've owned over a hundred snakes in my time and I've NEVER fed anything LIVE to any of them . I , like nearly everyone else in the UK only feed defrosted mice or rats .

I have a rescued ball python.Really sweet disposition.I don't like feeding live rodents so I order pre-killed frozen. You warm them in hot water and feed with tongs,I use a really long pair of hemostats. One advantage of this is you can order in bulk.Ive heard that some snakes won't eat rewarmed dead rodents but mine loves them.
And where I live there are lots of snakes outside to enjoy.
There are reptile recuses that have different animals to adopt, there are usually lots of iguanas, turtles, and ball pythons.A good way to get a pet.The main expense is tanks, lights and heat sources.

and woud love more than anything to get a corn snake but honestly coudnt deal with the whole idea of feeding them pinkies, perhaps if they were controlably gassed to death rather than frozen to death the idea woud be a bit more tolerable,is there any way to find out what method companies use and the humane side of it,eg; with gassing if it was done slowly at the start to send them to sleep rather than put them in distress?
have forced vets to controlably gas terminaly ill rats of mine in the past before being given the horrible euthanasia injection through the heart.

Thank you for the kind comments . Some people love him whereas some hate him - saying things like it looks as though he's a white snake that has been painted by a two year old in a nursery class :(

As to the frozen rodents I buy . I have asked the assistants in the local store where the mice came from and now they were 'despatched' but they are never forthcoming . Either they genuinely don't know or they are instructed to say they don't know .

I cover myself by thinking that if the snake was in the wild he'd be going down some rodent hole and wiping out the whole family in one sitting ....

From what I understand the mice are put down with gas,and they just go to sleep.I hope that's correct.
I have an Albino Clawed African frog, you either love or hate him. He's white with pink eyes and black toenails,a Goth frog. :D People think he is not real or dead and then he kicks across the tank and surprises them.

I'm not afraid of snakes but I don't particularly like them.

I definitely wouldn't want to own one.

Do you have a pic available of him Misslizard?

I've never actually owned any snakes but have house-sat one once, I quite like them.
