Hi, long time reader of site - first time poster

I'm stuck in a horrible dirty nursing home (class 2 out of 5)(or D below A) & I got MRSA from it - waiting for Covid to get me (7 people gone so-far) - LA county

Have a broken bullet in my cerebellum (lizard brain), can't walk but retook IQ test & still 150

Don't try to leave this all wrong planet earth on your own - it won't work.

I'm the only patient here who can think - treated as an idiot by most employees (they just think 'brain injury' not what type) - zero privacy ZERO - been hit by workers 2 times (police & ombudsman do nothing) - no family - very lonely - food is disgusting - thankful I have my 12 year old laptop

so... Hi 8O

Happy landings on this here WrongPlanet . Hope WP can help your loneliness issues to abate. Somewhat .
Am sorry your circumstances have been what they are . Can relate to much of what you have written from some
Prior life experiences that have survived through . Am hoping you are able to receive some physical therapy.
Thanks for taking the time to post . 8O

Has anyone thought about this community having a Discord Server? Since there are all of these topics and people that all would likely want to actual have a voice conversation with one another and they would also like to post memes, have live chat and would be able to play video games together. Discord you can also have rooms and topics have censers and I think age restrictions based on account. Just a thought, since it would likely make the community better, more interactive and fix many of the things people are wanting from a site function stand point.

Would love to try this out. I know it would be bumpy at first but might be great. I would join.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurism, i like the art, you better fixate that info, for that's written on shifting grounds

Futurism (Italian: Futurismo) was an artistic and social movement that originated in Italy in the early 20th century. It emphasized speed, technology, youth, violence, and objects such as the car, the airplane, and the industrial city. Its key figures were the Italians Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Fortunato Depero, Gino Severini, Giacomo Balla, and Luigi Russolo. It glorified modernity and aimed to liberate Italy from the weight of its past.
Cubism contributed to the formation of Italian Futurism's artistic style. Important Futurist works included Marinetti's Manifesto of Futurism, Boccioni's sculpture Unique Forms of Continuity in Space, Balla's painting Abstract Speed + Sound, and Russolo's The Art of Noises.

Although it was largely an Italian phenomenon, there were parallel movements in Russia, where some Russian Futurists would later go on to found groups of their own; other countries either had a few Futurists or had movements inspired by Futurism. The Futurists practiced in every medium of art, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, industrial design, interior design, urban design, theatre, film, fashion, textiles, literature, music, architecture, and even cooking.

To some extent Futurism influenced the art movements Art Deco, Constructivism, Surrealism, and Dada, and to a greater degree Precisionism, Rayonism, and Vorticism.

and some other stuff , blatantly interesting

https://dejister.wordpress.com/2010/08/ ... -tropaeum/

A tropaion (Greek: τρόπαιον, Latin: tropaeum), whence English "trophy" is derived, is an ancient Greek and later Roman monument set up to commemorate a victory over one's foes. Typically this takes the shape of a tree, sometimes with a pair of arm-like branches (or, in later times, a pair of stakes set crosswise) upon which is hung the armour of a defeated and dead foe. The tropaion is then dedicated to a god in thanksgiving for the victory.
