I told my best friend ...

I told my best friend via email that I am on the spectrum. Outside of Wrong Planet, he is my only friend so I guess you could say he is my worst friend, too.

It should be interesting. I don't think it will change anything. He's actually been a bit persistent over the years in maintaining the friendship. I guess I'm hoping that it might explain why I have not been a "good" friend in any normal way.

i'm not sure about that; i do think telling your better friends you're on the spectrum is a good idea, but i do prefer to tell them in person; that way you can instantly explain some things and answer direct questions they might (will) have...

We're both computer geeks. Email is perfectly fine in this case.

"Best" friend might be a bit misleading. I actually see him face to face once or twice a year. I'm aspie. That's a lot of contact :roll:
