One of the reasons may be that with leftist, it is much more likely those comments are tongue-in-cheek whereas when rightists pull that crap they may actually be serious.

Here is an example of a typical Saturday night at a typical Conservative Re-education Camp

Oh, don't worry so much. All that you conservatives ever do is worry. The re-education camps won't be so bad. This isn't Vietnam.

Pretty much all you'll have to do is a few chores during the day, and, in the evening, sit around a simulated campfire and sing Woody Guthrie songs.

This land is your land,
This land is my land...

I'm still waiting for that apology, also as far as re-education camps, considering the fact Conservatives are awake and fed up, it is not going to happen, I seriously doubt the military will back liberals in their coup.

We repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and the military did nothing.

What do you expect to happen, once the military has been infiltrated by liberals and practicing homosexuals?

The Spartans were not liberals by any definition of that term, but homosexuality was part and parcel of their bonding and discipline modalities. You would not want to meet up with a Spartan on the battlefield.

True, the Spartans were very conservative. And gay.

So, our plans might not end up succeeding, then.

False, a lot of people will not serve another tour because they don't like the idea of someone trying to hit on them in the shower (since one usually doesn't have private bathrooms for every enlisted man/woman).

Okay, so our plans seem to be moving forward, after all.

Aside from the possibility of massive voter fraud, I think liberals will be out of power for at least a generation after the 2012 elections.

Which is why we have infiltrated the military with liberals and homosexuals.

Must you always be so redundant all the time?

Our country would be better served by soldiers who aren't bigoted a-holes. I don't know too many gay people who are actually even attracted to heterosexuals.

And yet, there are still women in the military.

What, Inuyasha, the men can't handle what thousands of military women are putting up with day in and day out?

As far as gay people in the shower: I've trained in Aikido for about 10 years. About half of the women in the dojo are gay, and despite 10 years of getting dressed and undressed in the locker room with these women, not a single one of them has ever made a move or even a comment that could be considered inappropriate. It did freak me out for about 30 seconds when I first figured it out, but by that time I'd been getting naked in front of gay women for 3 months and I figured that if they were well enough behaved that I hadn't noticed it until then, then I had nothing to complain about.
There are gay men and women in the military already. Lots of them. They don't generally leer in the showers or assault people. The only thing that will change is that people will now know that they're gay.

If everyone cooperates nicely with the program at the re-education camp, then we might even bring in Bruce Springsteen for your graduation ceremony.

I don't think the military bathrooms are coed.

Do the homosexuals get their own bathrooms?

Maybe ones with better make-up mirrors?

That's what it would take for me to consider joining the army.
