Now that I'm single and economically fortunate, it's absolutely staggering how much I spend on my special interests.

My rationale is that I should do it now while I'm still unattached and don't have to argue with anyone about it.

and I don't even feel a tiny bit guilty - I worked hard for it...

I've blown 1000s of dollars on hobbies over the last 20 years. It's frightening.
