I've always preferred female villains. I've just found them to be more sinister and sultry - sort of like a "I'm a beautiful woman who can kick your ass while wearing these 6-inch heels" type. :roll:

Anyway, what do you think of female villains? :)

Nope In real life females are usually the weaker killer so no. Usually men are of a more psychopathic nature. My favorite villains are always male. I can't remember a female villain that really scared me.

Prefer female heroes. The gender of the villain to me is moot.

I'm not really much for villains.

Well, in my imaginary world, all of the main villains are female now that I stop to think about it. I love to hate female villains because there has been a lot of bad blood between myself and several female family members/friends in my life. Therefore watching female villains act like they're high and mighty only to get their butts kicked by the heroes is a cathartic experience for me.

I probably should have made my point clearer at the start. I'm talking about fictional female villains, not real-life ones. :roll:

I wasn't thinking "sultry".. XD;;
but a lot of my favorite villains are female, yeah. Like Umbridge from Harry Potter... that chick from the Misery movie.. Mrs. Coulter from the His Dark Materials trilogy.. (okay so she's sultry, but that's not why I like her.)

Hmm, maybe what I like is females who are batsh** crazy. Guys just can't pull it off in the same creepy way.

But like a lot of others said, (or implied) I don't pay as much attention to villains as to heroes.
And female heroes are good too, as long as they aren't all.. feminismy. Bleh.

PS your avatar is the best thing ever.

I knew you were. I was talking about fictional female villains in my post, but I explained that my main reason for liking them has its roots in dealing with evil women in reality.

I was actually aiming my previous comment at the other responders. I knew what you meant about linking fictional villains with your relatives. :wink:

I like female villians, though unfortunately many authors (particularly comics) tend to make them into super sluts. Either she's written as some sort of evil seductive whore, or she's drawn that way. :(

I like surprise villains sometimes, so making the sweet, naive girl a villain would be good if done right. I can't really say I know of a female villain that was rememberable. I think my gold standard for villains is Samuel Jackson, and I can't think of an actress that could pull off a role like he has.

I like female villains. Carlota and Rominia on En Nombre del Amor were two of my favorite villainesses. The only female villain I don't like is Dr.Blight.
