i want you to picture in your mind a simple shape. not a square, most people pick a square. don't be too obscure either, no-one likes a smart arse. the first simple shape you think of, other than a square

Sorry- triangle in a square for me.

i was actually thinking in terms of 3d wireframe. A sphere with a cone inside. The cone didnt have a flat end but a point.

Im not trying to be a smart ass, i just think in 3d now because im trying to learn how to draw. I think i always thought like that because i am pretty decent at spatial things. Like the folding boxes at iq tests.

I thought out of the box at least enough to have a circle in a triangle.

i posted this on a few different sites, just for comparison

a lot of people had a triangle inside a circle, but there was equally as many with something else

i suppose everyone's definition of "simple shape" varies too

if you ask someone this in person, you can skew the answers a little by using your hands and by picking precise words.

instead of saying "imagine this shape INSIDE another shape" you can skew the probably that someone will pick a circle by saying "picture another shape around this one" and waving your hand in the air in an approximate circle shape

It's kind of ironic how many people chose square when the rule was "no squares"

Anyway, mine was triangle in a circle.
