Tales of the Unexpected (1980)

An episode called 'My Lady Love, My Dove', starring Elaine Stritch. This wasn't great, and the ending was bizarre as well, but it wasn't quite as bad as most of the IMDB reviews suggest. These are worth reading just for a laugh:

Some highlights from Candid Camera, a TV show that was popular in the UK during the 1960s and 1970s. Some members of the public who feature in this must have been quite stupendously thick if they didn't realize they were being pranked - a fair bit of this stuff is just incredible!

An interesting thing is that none of these shows appear to be available on dvd over here, and I watched them on an old VHS tape. These seem to fetch quite decent prices on Ebay (£10-£20), and may be possible collectors' items.

An episode of Rooms from 1975, entitled 'Mr Cotgrove and Miss Hicks', in two parts. Features Annette Crosbie, who starred in the very popular UK sitcom 'One Foot In The Grave' in the 1990s. Annette was only 40 in these episodes, which surprised me somewhat.
