All the DCAU series produced by Bruce Timm are intelligent, entertaining, well written shows.

If you have an interest in Batman and DC comics, you should watch them all:

BTAS, STAS, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited.

I have no shame in watching that series than I do reading a good comic book. They got a lot of it right with that series.

For a show that's ostensibly for kids, it's amazingly mature. Not "mature" in the sense of violence and f-words and titties, but you know what I mean. Part of the reason I liked it as a kid was that it didn't talk down to me like other shows did. The series is like Pixar's movies, in the sense that Pixar's movies aren't "kid movies," they just happen to be rated G. Some of the episodes are pretty light, but some of them are quite moving. My personal favorite is the two part "Feat of Clay." It's a much better "movie" than any of the films.

A little off-topic, but I can top that. Search for "A Tale of Gassy Lesbians" on Literotica. I promise you'll never laugh so hard at an erotic story again.
