Hi there
I live in a smallish city (about 66,000 people) and we don't have much here for autism advocacy. I want to start a parent/family support group at our school, in part because I think there are plenty of parents in our community who have no idea how to get proper services for their kids or in other ways are not getting their needs met and don't know who to turn to. I am wondering if anyone here has ever started or participated in such a group through school, church, whatever... Can you share any experiences about what made a group work or what made it not work?
Thanks!
