There is an interesting discrepancy between the two studies of the RAADS-R, despite the relatively large samples. In the first study out of the more than 500 controls none had a score above 65, which could appear to indicate that a score higher than 65 (and particularly scores as high as above 100) make ASD very likely. However in the Swedish study as many as 9% of the controls had scores above 65 and 3% above 100, which, with the prevalence of ASD being 1-2% or less, is a pretty low specificity.

I'm pretty sure I have some type of developmental disorder, but I have not been officially diagnosed yet.

I don't understand some of the questions and I don't know the answer to others.

I would prefer to take this test in a clinical setting since I had some issues with questions. I didn't understand two of them and more were fuzzy to me. I have a hard time with absolute questions.

But some of the questions are really stupid and inadequate.
Often I had to really think hard why they would ask that, to make any sense of them.
Maybe someone on the spectrum should design a test that other people on the spectrum
can actually relate to.
Anybody here up to the task?

Blimey, what a day.
The reason for points raising is probably growing self awareness.

I took the one on aspietestsdotorg and averaged 144 in three tests.

But...i love you guys. I struggle so much with tests and tests like these because they ask questions that have exceptions or require explanation..and yet only provide black and white answers.
I kept looking for a 'most of the time', or 'sometimes' choices. Or a way to say - i wouldn't choose to go to a restaurant by myself, nor with others; i'd choose not to go at all.

That said, the above mentioned love is because of all of the posts that reference similar issues. I always knew i "over"analyzed..more than others seem to..and had issues with these things others don't seem to. But, it never remotely occurred to me that these struggles were an aspie thing..or that others had them too.

I never thought i took things too literally but perhaps i do - which is another flaw of such tests as they require a degree of self-awareness often only achieved outside oneself (e.g. it asks about unique ways of thinking..how do i know if my way is "unique"? I've never been in someone else's head!)...

I'm soooo happy though to read these replies of those that also struggle with selecting exclusively finite answers for a variety of potential situations.
I feel like i'm home/normal for the first time!

I got a 10. Printed it off to let my Aspie hubby take a crack at it.

I scored 193.

RAADS-r and the EQ test are the most accurate imo.

Did you all find the link on page 1 in this thread? I can´t find it, so I´ve only tried the short online one.

I took it, trying best to remember what I was like when I was young. I only have fragments of memories before 16 years of age. But most of how I am now, I was then as well. I scored a 221. My AQ was 43. I even double checked my answers afterwards with my wife of 14 years and she agreed with them. Dodger.
