Its technically not a copy but an adaptation thats more suitable for a younger audience.
You cant play the original basket case to your child to sleep but you could play this, the same thing has been done with several other big bands(beatles have their cd, coldplay).

I would rather my child listen to the real Green Day. If Green Day is good enough for someone to wake from a coma by listening to it. I think then it's good enough for a child.
