Does anybody confuse one member for another? I get confused b/w two particular members all the time

There was this one member who had the same username as I do, only with numbers at the end of it. I think that confused some people.

Also, I recently became aware that another member is using an avatar identical to mine. When I saw his avatar in a thread, I thought, "I don't remember replying to this thread," until I realized that it was some other member.

No......apart from about five people who have become somewhat familiar to me, I don't remember anyone specifically enough to confuse anybody for anyone else in the first place.

No, I don't mix people up like that. I'm curious, who do you get mixed up, pree10shun?

I don't confuse the names of my fellow WP members.

I have mixed up a couple members before. I used to mix IdahoRose up with IdahoAspie and rainsong and rainstorm5 up.

If you dont mix anything nothing good, better will come from it.

I get names confused very easily maybe due to my dyslexia. I notice & remember their avatars a lot better but I get confused when they change

I often don't remember user names, but I take note of the avatars. If someone changes their avatar, I might not recognise them as the same person, unless they keep the same theme (CockneyRebel comes to mind). I only recently gave myself an avatar (took ages to decide) and wondered if anyone remembered who I was from one post to the next, as I wouldn't have. But, this thread confirms that others do take note of names. I don't have dyslexia BTW.

Sad as it seems to some people here, I never or almost never read the names of people who post, I restrict myself to reading the content of their posts and replying to that. Ok if someone is being a bit of a dick I’ll notice them, but mostly I take not the slightest notice of the nom de plume that people hide behind.

I don't think I confuse anyone on here yet. On other forums I get confused when people change their avatars though.

Also Tally man and Booyakasha, but they do a pretty good job of being separate if that makes any sense?

Finally, this is really weird...but...do you ever mix up the gender of some people? For instance, I first thought cockneyrebel was a boy, but then I think I looked at their profile and got the impression that they were a girl, but I think I looked again and they are a boy. I forget easily.
