Has anyone done anything spontaneous recently?

What I mean, is, has anyone here done anything that is totally out of the norm of what people expect from you, even close friends and relatives, and hell, even yourself? My recent action was that I shaved my head completely. (it turned out nicely BTW)

I shaved my head and got a friend to paint it like a giant eyeball for halloween 2 years ago.

I tried a new painting experiment yesterday. http://Fatal-Noogie.deviantart.com/art/ ... -216508791
I've never known anyone to use that technique.
It must be very rare.

Having read the subject line I was going to reply that I spontaneously decided to start participating here again after a long time away (which was itself a pretty much spontaneous action -- I just lost interest). Alas, I do not think that rises to the level of what you are asking about. >_>

I booked a ticket to New Zealand, packed a rucksack and went a couple of days later.

Shocked everyone and myself.
I live in the uk, halfway around the world from new zealand and
i then had to stay in NZ for 5 months as i was too ill, psychologicaly to fly back.

I'm ashamed to write it here, but shaving my crotch (front and rear), swimming naked in a gravel mine pond...

today as i was walking to a shop, i was thinking about my lack of spontaneity, and i decided to be spontaneous, so i suddenly turned around and walked off in the opposite direction.
the lesson i learned is that being spontaneous does not get me to where i want to be.

I bought a magazine which was of a more adult persuasion. Nothing hardcore, though.

I planned on taking my dog for a walk through the nearby woods. We would exit over a bridge I knew about that would place us down by the nearby train station, and we could then walk home. It was going to be about a mile long walk.

Being spontaneous two or three times turned it into a four mile walk that lasted an hour and a half.

I took a road I hadn't driven in years, saw this, and went trespassing to get the shot.
