Critical reading is not verbal. verbal had those fun analogies.

Math: 800
Verbal/Critical Reading: 770
Writing: 710

Critical reading is for the most part verbal. I do miss the fun analogies but I think that colleges just looked at the 2 as being interchangeable.

Don't be ashamed, you still did better than many people out there. 1130(in old SAT terms) is not a bad score, and is above the average, and 1740(new SAT terms) is better still.

Obviously there's no such thing as an SAT over here in Scotland. What I did do relatively recently was aptitude tests - one verbal and one mathematical - as pre-selection for an interview for a job.

My scores were:

Verbal - 40 out of 40
Math - 40 out of 40

It's safe to say I would have had maximum (or as near as blazes) SAT scores.

By the way, I slept in for the interview.

This question would come, so: What is an SAT anyway? I'm curious! It's some sort of test, I got that far, but is it done in school like an exam and can you fail it and how important is it to get good scores?
