My apologies to anyone I'm about to offend by trashing some of these bands. Keep in mind that I have ABBA mp3s on my computer, so I'm not exactly a paragon of good taste.

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral is great, and With Teeth has some really good songs, but I stopped listening to them long ago. Ministry and KMFDM do far more for me when it comes to industrial.

System of a Down - Never liked them, and never understood why so many metalheads thought they were so great. Their idiotic political lyrics make me ashamed to be a liberal.

Radiohead - One of those bands that I can respect while not really liking them very much.

Tool - Possibly the most overrated metal band in the world. Unbearably boring and pretentious.

Black Light Burns - Never heard of them.

Korn - The first two albums are surprisingly good for nu-metal, which is mostly a worthless genre of music. I've heard a couple of songs from the third and fourth records that I liked, but nothing else.

Muse - I'm not too familiar with them, but I like the handful of songs I've heard.

Queens of the Stone Age - I was a minor fan of them for awhile, but I stopped listening after Lullabies. Just a boring record that did nothing for me.

ohGr - You would think that I would be more familiar with this guy since I'm into so many industrial metal bands, but I've only heard a handful of Skinny Puppy songs and they never did much for me.

Aesthetic Perfection - Never heard of them.

Mindless Self Indulgence - Not familiar with them.

Alice in Chains - I was a huge fan for awhile, but I didn't start following them again after they got back together.

Blur - Not hugely familiar with them, but I like a few of their songs.

Nirvana - Casual fan at best. I like Bleach a lot more than the last two records. I hate how Nirvana is popular for their radio hits, when it was their weirdness that made them so good.

The Cure - Not familiar with them, and I haven't really liked the handful of songs I've heard.

The Pixies - Another one of those bands that everyone is a big fan of except me. I've heard them and I respect them, but it just wasn't for me.

The Smashing Pumpkins - A decent band ruined by the worst singer in the world.

Slipknot - They can be very good when they want to be, but if I want to hear Fear Factory, I'll listen to Fear Factory, not a much less talented band trying to sound like them. Listen to this and this and tell me it doesn't sound exactly like Slipknot, only a lot better.

Massive Attack - Not familiar with them.

Serj Tankian - See above.

Scars on Broadway - Never heard of them.

Thom Yorke - Never heard his solo stuff.

A Perfect Circle - I had the first album and liked it, a lot more than I ever liked Tool, but I stopped paying attention after that.

Puscifer - Never heard of them.

Porcupine Tree - I've heard them but never got into them.

Martin Grech - Never heard of them.

Coil - Never heard of them.

Doctor Steel - Never heard of them.

Kasabian - I've heard "Club Foot" and I liked it. Haven't heard anything else.

Arctic Monkeys - Never heard of them.

Machines of Loving Grace - Never heard of them.

Like him/them a lot, although not quite love like I used to but he uses the 'angst' factor better than most and is a great songwriter
Like, but again, not exactly love like I did in middle school. Debut is my favorite of theirs
Used to not like them because I thought they were too overrated, now love them, especially The Bends
Still love them to an extent, although I hardly listen anymore, not to mention their fanbase and Maynard irks me
Haven't heard
Never been a real fan but I've always liked a few singles, still feel like giving their debut a shot sometime, despite being past the age where I should've heard it
Good other than their last album, which I felt was too bloated and over the top, and not in a great sense
Great even if I sort of prefer Kyuss and they don't have the most consistent albums, still a fun ride though, especially Songs for the Deaf
Haven't heard (of them)
See above
Haven't heard but it always seemed like they'd be annoying to me
Amazing, but I sort of have a bias to the big 4 of grunge, heh
Enjoy them but the only album I've heard is Parklife and right now I prefer Gorillaz :?
Needs no introduction, great great great
Great but probably a more consistent singles than album band, aside from Disintegration which is a masterpiece
Awesome, influential and fun band
90s stuff is great, Corgan has been pissing me off lately though

Others coming up next post!

Continued from Slipknot

Same with KoRn practically, a few solid singles, but I don't really like Nu Metal
Great, based on Blue Lines and Mezzanine; the latter is amazing, especially the first few songs
Haven't listened to his solo stuff except Empty Walls, which is pretty good and could have counted as an SoaD song
Same as above, I played They Say in Guitar Hero 5 (boy, GH sure is dead now!) and thought it was just ok
Still need to listen to The Eraser, I like what I've heard from it though, and his song from New Moon was cool
Very good, I think I personally prefer them to Tool these days, as Maynard is more laid back vocally and the band don't try to be "challenging"
Eh. I liked that song from Underworld but from what I've heard from the album, I'm not too interested in listening to it. Just Maynard trying to be jokey, although "Cuntry Boner" was funny, bordering on hilarious
My favorite band of all time. You people that haven't heard of them in here, go listen to them.
Haven't heard
Been interested, but haven't listened to them yet
Nada
Haven't heard but heard of them for years
Heard the debut and it was ok, seems like a singles band more than anything, again
Nada

Nine Inch Nails -- Slightly on the "don't like them" side of neutral
System of a Down -- Ehhhhhh...
Radiohead -- Boring
Tool -- OK but don't like them enough to buy their stuff
Black Light Burns -- Don't know them
Korn -- Boring
Muse -- Ehhhhhh.....
Queens of the Stone Age -- OK
ohGr -- Don't know them
Aesthetic Perfection -- Don't know them
Mindless Self Indulgence -- Don't know them
Alice in Chains -- Like
Blur -- Boring
Nirvana -- OK
The Cure -- Boring
The Pixies -- Great videos, musically boring
The Smashing Pumpkins -- Pretty good
Slipknot -- Boring
Massive Attack -- Ehhhh...
Serj Tankian -- Don't know him
Scars on Broadway -- Don't know them
Thom Yorke -- Boring in a big way
A Perfect Circle -- Ehhhh...
Puscifer -- Don't know them
Porcupine Tree -- Don't know them
Martin Grech -- Don't know him
Coil -- Don't know them
Doctor Steel -- Don't know them
Kasabian -- Don't know them
Arctic Monkeys and -- Don't know them
Machines of Loving Grace -- Don't know them

Be advised, I may have heard some of the "don't know them" material on the radio without knowing who it was. Also, a person's taste in music rarely defines them, even if they think it does.
