Can I use this??? It doesn't say anything about size...(I know the PS3 can only take 2.5" SATA drives)

Or would I be better off with this one, even though it has less space???

EDIT: Just so everyone knows, my PS3 is a launch model 20GB, so I'm playing PS1, PS2 and PS3 games on here as well as PSN exclusives as well as PSone Classics, so thats why I'm kinda wanting to know if the 1.5TB drive will work. That would be awesome.

You said it yourself; you need a 2.5" form factor.

So, you cannot use the 1.5 TB drive.

I don't know how to measure form factor, I just know the 2nd one is a 2.5" SATA drive. Its the first one(the 1.5TB drive)

If you'll look on there, I'm pretty sure it doesn't say anything in the description about the form factor of the 1.5TB drive. And the form factors look somewhat similar.

EDIT: Nevermind, I now see that the 1.5TB is a f*****g beast compared to the 750GB one....s**t, I was really hoping to give all that memory a spot in the PS3....

Now I'm pissed. Give us a desktop sized drive space next gen, Sony. I've seen SEVERAL 3.5" 2.5TB SATA drives on Google Shopping and Amazon.....

Do the External HDDs work on the PS3?
You can only install internal 2.5" SATS HDDs.

external HDD work via USB. However, I don't think you can install games onto them. You can only load pictures, and videos of the correct encoding format (XVID?, mpeg-4 ?)
