I'm looking at doing one of these (or Software Engineering) in graduate school and was just wondering if anyone else had gone this route. I think that C.S. or Software Engineering would be more enjoyable for me, as CIS tends to have lots of business and management courses which I have zero interest in.

Now I just have to prepare myself for Calculus I, II and III..... yuck.

A lot of the nice fun programming work is being outsourced to countries like India and China at the moment. It is a lot harder to get a job in this field than it used to be 10 years ago. So you might want to find out who's interested in hiring before you start. Unless you have your own ideas for the "killer app".

I'm a CS graduate student.

I don't know what all to say about it since I'm only halfway through the program.
