I'm interested in the flowers hanging out to dry behind you - are you making some pot pourri with them later?

Cute puppychild...

They are Monarda citriodora (Lemon Beebalm). They are native to my area, but I grew some from seed in my garden. I dry them and brew them into a tea later. :) They are quite fragrant, yes!

Thanks - sounds like a healthy and delicious drink. I expect the bees do love it too.

Seems invisible.

Dunno why. But it seems any that I have stored in my onedrive don't seem to work.

Even though I'm uploading them to the same place. On photo bucket

Maybe I'll rename the image file or something. And try again :(

^ Hmm - Nikon, eh? Good choice! :thumright:
I have a D70, D3 (both retired) and a D810 plus more lenses than I can easily carry, although I tend to use the 24-70mm f2.8 zoom the most.

Aww, D810, nice... Yep, a D700 (still a great camera, same sensor as the D3) with, in this case, a 55mm micro nikkor 3.5 lens which I converted to AI. Still my favorite lens. I love those old nikkor lenses and I love the ability to focus up close, I own a couple. Also manual focus makes me feel more artistic 8) Plus they look cool, and they're often cheap.
I also own some modern nikkors. Somewhere along the line I've decided to only use prime lenses.
I owned a D3S once (thankfully bought used, like the D700), it got lost 8O in the chaos that was my existence.

Lost? A D3S?! *goes into mourning mode* Damn, I bet that hurt. :(

I have a 60mm f2.8 Nikkor which I used a lot for macro pics, now superseded by a 105mm f2.8 Nikkor VR - even better!
The last film camera I used was a Pentax ME-Super with a 50mm f1.4 lens - it's interesting how what was once carefully composed (only 36 exposures (39 if you were lucky) per roll!) is now left behind, but it's a good thing on balance: several compositions can be tried with no worry about film. I never found the 50mm prime a limitation either but now I'm spoiled for choice.
Out of nostalgia I just had a look at Ebay: something less than €30 for the camera, including an apparently "rare" 50mm f1.4

Inertia and tinkering with/printing earlier shots has cut down my actual taking of images quite a bit - I used to be zipping about between various cathedrals, a favorite topic. Alas, it's become "Ok - well next year then, definitely".

A picture of you when you were older? Are you getting younger? :P

(I am kidding. I know what you mean).

Good to know.

That's actually a Super little camera! Small and all metal but light, and a great viewfinder. My last film camera was a Yashica FR1 with quite a few lenses, filters and extension rings.
I do sometimes miss the magic of shooting on film and moving about in that mysterious red glow of the dark room, eager to find out if any great exposures would surface. But yeah, digital definitely is more practical, quicker and cheaper.
