True. it does seem like you can get away with alot more on a bus because security is non-existant.
A few years ago, when I was at the LA terminal passing through for the holidays, some guy tried selling me a a frozen turkey. Some other fool tried giving me a haircut like he wanted me outside. probably because he was gonna kidnap me or something
I really hate not being able to sleep on the bus. and almost everyones deodeorant runs out onboard, coupled with the random farting you smell its unbearabley awful.
Plus the bus drivers are rude. i'm really not looking forward to it, but as you said its cheep and I have a fear of planes, so it looks like i'm taking the bus again. but this will be the last time, i cant do this anymore!
I guess I've been lucky, since I've never had to put up with horrible smells or rude drivers. I've had a horrible time sleeping, and I usually ended up passing out after going a full 24 hours with no sleep at all, but I have horrible sleeping problems even in a bed, so I can't readily blame it on the buses. I don't really have a problem with the seats, either. It does get horribly uncomfortable after some time, but that would be unavoidable in any seat when you're sitting in it for days. Don't get me wrong, traveling by bus sucks, but I guess I've just developed a thick skin for it. Or maybe my AS is actually an advantage here, since I can get lost in books I'm obsessed with and lose track of time. If I had to do it again, I'd say bring it on.
