PS My kitten's eye seems to be OK now.

That's good. I'd imagine cats must have a degree of tolerance to the cooties on their claws otherwise they'd all end up blind before adulthood since 'go for the eyes' seems to be their preferred strategy when fighting each other.

Talking to my best friend on the phone about his results of a brain MRI. He was drunk and stoned out of his mind and laughing the whole time. I have a feeling he was also like that when he spoke to the doctor by telephone.

Do people who are totally inebriated appreciate how frustrating it is for others?

I couldn't make sense of what he said, except that his frontal lobe is "pretty much dead" and has been atrophied for a long time, according to our doctor. He wasn't even concerned about what that means.

I had to book a flight out of town on the company dime, and the cheapest airport is LAX.

I used to like John Wayne. But I like the big lights outside LAX.

I'd always listen to LA Woman on the freeway when I arrived. :P

The traffic ... the parking ... the crowds ... the long lines ... I will be spending more time in the airport than on the plane -- it's worse than Disneyland!

I must admit I like Disney, but I'm a Knott's girl at heart.

Here's my grandmother, auntie, and uncles at Knott's when they first emigrated to America from UK in 1958.

That statue is still there!  Or was, in 1 B.C. (Before Covid).

(Oops, sorry ... we are supposed to express UNHAPPY thoughts in this thread.)

:( I am unhappy because I cannot go to Knott's yet.

My doctor said my eye is just swollen so far, and that if it doesn't improve in a couple days I can go to an eye doctor he referred me to. I also got antibiotic eye drops.

Ouch. That sounds painful. I'm glad you saw a doctor, and I hope you get well soon!

:(

Unhappy: Yeah, I could do with Knott's right about now.

I massaged her closed eye and used a cool compress. It's been shut for about 30 minutes now. She tried peeking out a couple of times but shut it again. She's not making pain noises but it's clearly hurt. I don't even know if it's her eyeball or her eyelid area. :?

Just when my life couldn't get any more f'd up, if it tried.

My cat eye was swollen once, I think I called the vet, I forgot, that was very long time ago, I was so worried, her eye got better days later.

My eye hurts a lot more, but I have an appointment with an eye specialist at 9 that a nurse made for me yesterday. Hopefully the specialist gives me some pain relieving eye drops.
