My neighbour died unexpectedly this morning.

All her friends and relatives were outside crying in the carpark.

She went to the hospital 6 months ago with a bad leg and they sent her home with a painkiller and told her it was sciatica. Today she died.

She wasn't young but she was the type of person who you thought would live forever as she was so fit for her age and always on the go.

It just makes you think.

I'm sorry to hear that, babybird.

Do they know what happened? Was it because of her leg?

Well since they told her she had sciatica she has become more or less housebound and has had to be ferried about everywhere so I'm thinking it is to do with the leg.

I didn't go out and ask anyone because it was her nearest and dearest out there and they don't know me.

I'm thinking that she must have had something going on that went undetected.

The ambulance came and was here for about three hours. Then the police and then the undertakers came to take her away.

She was just so active. I can't believe it. She even came to my flat with a food parcel just before Christmas.

That's so sad. You must be shaken up. I'm picturing my neighbour who is much the same: Maybe 65ish, divorced, very kind to everyone, etc. She had a hip replacement just prior to Christmas so she was always out with her walker trying to get exercise before we had snow, and since then I've barely seen her.

She had complained of leg pain for years prior to the hip replacement. She even gave me a little Christmas keepsake once, just like yours gave a parcel of food.

It must be extra upsetting for you, seeing her loved ones so upset.

It really puts things in perspective. I'm sorry you're dealing with such an unexpected loss.

:(

First hot day of the year. Windows open, fans on, shirt off, perspiring.

The day laborer that had the nerve to slap me on the back in the Litterbox on may 1, was swearing at me at work. Then I tattled to the cops but when we got there he was gone

Now I am afraid that the cops will think I "lied" and won't believe anything else I say

Or that the day laborer wi come up with more and better tricks

Uptight and edgy the rest of the day

Otherwise today was perfect

Slept my Sunday away again.

No more mandarin oranges left in the fridge.
