I'm getting several Friend recommendations from FB every day. I don't even use my account except for Messenger, and all my settings are private / only be friends with "friends of friends".

What do I need to tweak to stop this?

It's driving me mad. I get about 10 recommendations a day all of a sudden.

It's just suggestions, so I guess "people I might know". They aren't actual requests. Either way I'm not interested and it's annoying. I haven't used actual FB for years and all my settings are private / only me. I only have about 20 friends who are primarily my relatives. I keep it just so I can use messenger with those people. I have no idea who all these new names are all of a sudden but I keep getting notifications on my computer / phone screen when I'm not even using Messenger or FB at all. That's never really happened before. I double checked all my settings, and notifications are shut off. I'm confused.
