I love poetry but I haven't had much practice at it.
Poetry feels me with emotions and triggers imagery. I find it beautiful.
The floaty feeling for me is literally an up and down motion when I read each word. Sometimes I need to read it again more slowly to get it.

I'm writing my own novel so I guess I can say I'm more of a into prose.

How carefully I’ve shaped you in the solitude of days
How peaceful is my mind entwined in cord around my fingers
How sweet the days I’ve marked in knots I’ve tenderly caressed
So many times I’ve touched you, reached you, teased you
Now fingering these veins of hemp
Their hair upon my skin
And how gently, quickly you will sleep
Slip into my collection with its bristles, coils, intentions
Yet your words will be unfaithful before I set you free
Slip as life is bound to slip from this entropy disorder
Then tied and laid upon the floor in perfect symmetry
‘Til the frayed edge of your lips on mine
Positioned, placed at ease once more
‘Til this restlessness returns I turn and turn and turn again

my poetry tends to include stuff like this:

wages after the labour, we beseech you, o limited nuclear war
a son is given to us, testing increasingly smaller warheads
if this limit is overshot, ground zero will accumulate debris
o mary conceived without sin, detonate a nuclear weapon
in the presence of mine enemies

For a few years I wrote tons of poetry, now I write only prose. Current WIP is a short story called 'Cannibal Peas'.

I primarily write comics but I do write prose as well. I just enjoy the process of writing comics and I like to see what different artists can do with my stores
I cant even imagine writing poetry as it is beyond me.

I mostly concentrate on writing prose, although I'm working on a stage play right now. Poetry is something I'll dabble in when the mood is on me, but it doesn't come naturally to me. Putting words in verse feels like I'm writing in a second language--one that I'm not fluent in speaking.

There are poets I enjoy reading: Shakespeare's poetry is wonderful stuff. Charles Bukowski, Gregory Corso, Allen Ginsberg. Excellent writers, but I do have to be in a certain mood for verse. And maybe have certain chemicals in my blood. :P Kidding. Maybe.

I am under the impression that there is not much of a difference between prose and poetry besides use of line. I am not talking about strict poetry that always rhymes. I love writing poetry because someone can convey so much emotion in such a short space. It really gives you a chance to work on quality and not worry about quantity. That's how I think is in explicit details, so when I read poems or even flash fiction, I can relate to that style because these stories get to the meat of a subject very quickly.

Both. But I am better with poems they come naturally when I have strong feelings for/about someone/something.
