I am the only person that I know that

1> Eats them.

2> Likes them better than the regular slices of bread.

Am I the only one?

I like them, but don't always eat them. I do this weird thing where I won't use the heals until the rest of the loaf is gone, but if they're the only things left in the bag and I don't need more bread, I toss them. I don't know why, but it just seems icky to save only two slices.

I suppose calling them the butts of the loaf is better?

Only if I can slather them in peanut butter. Then I like them better than normal slices. Peanut butter needs support, damn it!

It's just like regular bread to me. Plus, as they're thinner, that means I can put the same amount of jam on them, and it'll taste like there's more jam.

"Heels"?
They're just like any other piece of bread to me.
But then, I also eat potato skins and don't see the point in picking seeds out of a watermelon.

I eat peanut butter by itself.

But that's only because I'm lazy.

I had a spoonful of PB the other night when I was making a snack for bf-
I nearly died when I read the calories/fat on the label.

They're called 'heels?' I always known them to be 'the ends of the loaf.' :?

But yes, I'd eat them, but only if they weren't too stale (after finishing the rest of the loaf) and didn't have mold growing on them.

If you look up heel in the dictionary, it does, in fact, have end pieces of a loaf of bread as one of the definitions. It's odd that so many people haven't heard of it. :)

I only like them on fresh baked loaves, not the pre-sliced icky loaves. However, I can't eat bread anymore.

On fresh homemade bread it is the very best part.

I like them, but not as toast.

I never understood why people/kids didn't like crusts. I'd always pick off the crust first and eat it.

Fortunately, the fat in peanut butter is good for you.
