I was cruising the information traverse when my ship the "Mozilla Firefox" landed here, I had hoped to land on a different planet but I couldn't help but use the opportunity to play around with words. 
Anyway, my name is Rob and for over a year I have had the strong and informed feeling that I exhibit the symptoms of Aspergers Syndrome. It was after being tasked by my friend, whose son is an Aspie as to whether I suffer from it.
I was taken aback but over the course of a few weeks I read about the syndrome and realised that everything I had strugled with or embraced was attributable to Aspergers. It was a relief in many many ways. I consider myself AS though I am terrified of trying to work out how to make it official so I don't bother.
I enjoy writing and generally faffing around with words, I seem to be good at it. I have aspirations to be a published fiction writer as well as being heavily involved with anti-establishment politics ('Lawful Rebellion' kind of stuff) and its fair to say that I have evolved over time from an Aspergers hermit stereotype into a rather confident if socially clumsy eccentric.
I'm here to meet people and maybe talk a little about our spectacular minds, the chance to meet new friends and see how much mileage I get from the singles section would be nice too.

Lucky, urban Manchester is terrible. It does provide good inspiration for depressing short stories though!
Are there many people from Lancashire? (Manchester is Lancashire no matter what EU inspired boundary changes say)
