Hope this hasn't been posted before.
In case imgur disappears or you have a slow connection, it's a depressed looking guy and the caption “Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounding yourself with a**holes” ― William Gibson
My only quibble is that "surrounding yourself with" implies a continuing choice to be there, and depression (in my experience) is usually associated with the opposite.

I do like the picture and the meme. :)

I have low self-esteem and depression, and anxiety, but I already know that I'm surrounded by a***holes. OK, I don't mean my family or friends, because they don't laugh at me, but every time I walk into a shop or in the street I get laughed at. Could be my posture, could be my standard hairstyle, could be my unconfident blank face, could be anything. But I do get the impression that they're laughing at me each time I approach them, not men so much, but women are terrible. They don't know me but they are local so it's not like I'm never going to see them again, and I just don't like the thought of being humiliated when I don't even do anything to humiliate myself. That is why I'm depressed and have extremely low self-esteem. Actually, I have 0 self-esteem.

Being surrounded by as*holes can cause depression, depending.

LOL. Actually that was why I had it in my childhood. Other kids and teachers causing it because of their ignorance and discrimination.

I do think people can cause low self esteem and depression. I call it environment depression.

Exercise is wonderful for depression. Also sunny weather makes a real difference

Sexual intercourse works too
And meat, oxytocin
Chocolate is popular
Laughter is important
Surfing helps me feel good
Weed also helps me to forget about all the bastards and b*****s running the show

QFT+!=ain't it the truth! :) go tell it on the mountain :wtg: but remember to shield the skin against UV exposure.

but escorts are expensive and seeking prostitutes is illegal and fraught with pitfalls. cyberskin sex analogues work in a pinch, though. for lots of us INCELS, they are the be-all-and-end-all.

maybe, if it is lean.

but of course.

I was going to comment but as usual you said it better. BTW, no pressure or anything, but you are approaching your ten thousandth post, and we expect something appropriate. :)

oh, the pressure! :o whatever shall i do?
maybe it'll be just like december 21, 2012, when the rubicon is passed and everybody messes about as usual.
i'm not sure what thing i said that you're referring to. please say what you were going to say, i like hearing people from your part of the world speak. especially evelyn glennie. what a lovely purring speaking voice she has. there i go again, off on a stream-of-consciousness tangent...
