Serious motivation issues - could this be autism related?

I was told high levels of anxiety can do that too.

Lack of motivation from the beginning builds up anxiety over periods of time - for example, starting from childhood - will build up and up and cause much more loss of motivation in a lot of things, i.e. regressing. It's a vicious cycle with anxiety and motivation (and depression).

Yes, I think motivational issues are very common with Aspies. Like someone else said, if it's not something I'm interested in, I have oodles of trouble getting myself to do it. Even if I do want to do it, sometimes I get too overwhelmed to do so.
