China has just launched it's first manned space station Tiangong 1:

Hopefully this'll boost the now-dormant space race a bit, encourage further spacey stuff through competition...

Gee, since the Americans can't even send their own astronauts into space at the moment without paying the Russians, I thought that those of us interested in space flight might be interested.

Now, if the Chinese had been the first to launch a manned space station, my response would have been more enthusiastic. As it is, theirs is just another "me too" effort.
